A local officer has suggested a volunteer one-on-one mentoring program that connects experienced local Secretaries, Treasurers, Secretary-Treasurers, etc. with newer electeds. There wouldn’t be a strict time commitment or procedure past establishing that one officer is another’s emergency contact and resource.

I think such a program would genuinely help new Secretaries and Treasurers.

I think it’s a fair idea in principle, but I don’t think many will participate.

I don’t think it’d be worth the effort. People like to choose their own confidantes and advice sources rather than being assigned a buddy.
